File formats

What the alpha reads, what it writes, and what is on the way.

Model import

.STL, .OBJ and .3MF work today. .AMF and .VOXL are in progress. Meshes should be manifold with consistent normals — the slicer does not repair broken geometry.

Printer output

.goo and .ctb are supported. Further vendor formats are planned. The available export options follow the selected printer profile, so a format missing from the export dialog usually means the profile does not declare it.

Requesting a format

Open an issue with the printer model and, if you have one, a known-good file produced by the vendor slicer. Sample files make format work considerably faster.
